I think you're confusing breathing styles for strengths... The demon slayer needs to be strong enough to learn a breathing style, and once learned it will help them perfect their attacks. So the weaker demon slayers won't be able to learn stuff like stone breathing or sound breathing. Otherwise everyone would be a sun breather.

I know why this happened. You can sorta see from amazons release schedule that they dont do big hitters on december. Generally I think this is because people are already flocking to amazon for holiday shopping. Christmas is a bit difficult to compete with when not airing a holiday themed show or movie. Given that, amazon also does not like competing with itself. It can be generally assumed that they wont release adult animations alongside adult animations. They will also probably avoid releasing live action serialized adaptions together as well. February and January are also generally considered a dead month for releases, for albums, video games, and tv shows. People are back to work and school, and also dont have much money left from holidays. November and spring months are great though. November sees people home from school and work, march and april sees people on spring holiday. Invincible, which is essentially a guaranteed hit was given two prime slots in november and march. They could have released it in January or February, but not only are those typically dead months Hazbin hotel was released January. It would not make sense to release both when they would get more new subscriptions by spreading out these releases. Hazbin hotel is sorta a gamble so it makes sense to throw it on a dead month. Especially considering people wouldnt be so up in arms as compared to releasing an IP like hazbin hotel on december or Easter Then of course we saw fallout in april along side Roadhouse, which stacks that valuimonth with two potentially successful releases. Finally, arguably their most successful IP, The Boys. That got the potentially most valuable slot in summer time. Layer this summer we will see a batman series on prime which stacks up the summer pretty nicely. Id make a guess that they are hoping to ride with superhero hype of other summer releases, like deadpool and wolverine. At the end of the day, it is not difficult to figure out why a company does what it does. They look for value proposition. “What makes me the most money”
